500 before the steroids era of Jim Thome homers would be a ticket to atuomatic Hof?
I'm not dragging the name of Thorne in the mud steroids but the current era has diminshed the meaning of 500 homers. Do you have someone like Thome need to hit 550 or 600 homers to be a Hall of Fame atuomatic. Also must take into account that has been basically a designated hitter, except for a few seasons with the Phillies. Do you have a DH need to do even more offensive that a position player?
Good points, all. Jim used to be 38 until late August, and actually has a good shot at 600 HRS-if you can run more time the father of one more season. Lately, hes been having trouble staying healthy for most of the season but if he can play about 140 games for the next 3 seasons, going to hit at least 35 hours per season, and will give you 600 +-he 'll be a first ballot Hall of Famer since.
