Point and Shoot Advice?
Hello,
I've shopping for a Bridge Point and Shoot. I don't feel like getting into lenses yet, I'm not quite that rich right now, but I do want to start using some serious manual focus, an option which many of my previous digital cameras have not afforded me in any usable way.
I've heard about camera's that are point and shoot digicams, but that also have Manual Focus Rings on their lenses. I would love that, I'm done with auto-focus for now, I want something new.
I also want to make sure that there aren't any color distortions, artifacts, pixilations- you know, the stuff that can ruin a photo.
I also need to have a 12x+ zoom on this camera. Optical zoom that is.
So a manual focus ring with no artifacts and a good zoom. Does this exist? Also- make sure that the manual focus ring really works, that's truly what I'm after.
Thanks,
Vlly
I don't know why you think you have to be rich to own a DSLR. For under $450, you can have one with a lens. Most of the good "bridge" P&S cameras cost that much or more. I would ask you why you would want to spend that much money twice when you could have a nice DSLR with a sensor that is over 15 times larger that most bridge P&S cameras.
If you look closely to the specifications on any P&S, most all choose the exposure and focus for you. Rarely do you find one, bridge or not, that allows manual settings or focus.
Look on Amazon for a DSLR with standard zoom lens and I am sure you will find one or two in the $400 to $500 range that will excite your passion for photography
